In this review, we will look at a new case from Aerocool called CyberX Advance. It belongs to the budget series PGS-V (Performance Gaming System Value) and, theoretically, should provide its customers with good options for assembling a system at a reasonable price. In addition, from the attractions there is a side acrylic window and front lighting. These cases are on the manufacturer’s website and in the version with a regular metal sidewall, and a slightly smaller number of stock fans. You can distinguish them by the absence of the Advance prefix. Well, let’s see how it looks and how it works.

Appearance

In general, Aerocool CyberX Advance has a standard rectangular body shape, but the front panel has a more exotic design. It is made of plastic and consists of two triangles connected by a long side and protruding forward. This style is usually characteristic of the creations of NZXT. The upper part of the front is a solid door, and the bottom is divided into two planes. On the left, there are uncovered holes in the form of small trapezoids, over which a red LED strip is hidden. And on the right is a metal fine mesh, with the company logo in the lower right corner.

The door opens exclusively to the right side and rests on a conventional plastic latch. Therefore, to open it, you need to take it from the left and not just pull it, but first slightly press it towards the right in order to release the latch without breaking it. A card reader for SD and microSD cards is hidden under the door, and under them a single 5.25″ compartment is covered with a solid plug.

On the upper plastic edge of the front panel there is one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, between which two 3.5 mm audio outputs for a microphone and headphones are inserted, followed by a small round system reset button, two dot indicators of drive activity (red) and system operation (blue) and PC start key.

The entire left side of the case is occupied by an acrylic panel, which is held on by six thumb screws.

Acrylic is 3mm thick and very heavily tinted. Its corner bevels are pointed, the mounting screws do not have any dampers, so they must be handled with care and avoid overtightening so as not to damage the fragile sidewall.

The right solid door has a stamping approximately 8 mm thick. It is provided with a handle for easy disassembly and is held on by two plastic knurled screws. Takes off towards the back.

Thanks to the stiffening ribs and stamping, the right side panel is very strong, despite the relatively thin metal.

The top metal panel is solid, without any holes. It can be used as an additional shelf if the need arises.

The back panel is made very standard. At the top right there is a ventilation grill with a 120 mm fan pre-installed on it, there are seven expansion slots, all are closed with deaf disposable plugs. To the right of them there is another grate for ventilation. The seat for the power supply is located at the bottom and allows you to orient the PSU with the fan up or down.

In the back of the bottom of the case there is ventilation for the power supply, covered with a dust filter in the form of a fine-mesh metal mesh. The legs are located exactly at the corners, and there is a cutout in the front panel to facilitate its dismantling.

The legs are plastic, 12 mm high. Soft patches are glued on their base, which hold the table well and reduce the level of vibration transmission from the case to it.
